The planning and development process of Silver Comet Village was years in the making. Our community was born from a synergistic combination of opportunity, diversity, curiosity, purpose-seeking, devotion, and teamwork.
This concept of a community that offers multiple lifestyle options has since evolved into a village with the capability to support and nurture lifestyle choices, regardless of a person’s need for assistance. Our residents have shown an acute appreciation for the daily experience of interacting with their neighbors, hearing each other’s stories, and carrying a curiosity for trying new things. Some have taken the opportunity to continue their already active lifestyle with less worry, less responsibility, and enhanced enjoyment of the simple pleasures of companionship, purposeful living, and appreciation of daily life.
There is beauty when individuals come together and share life experiences. We have found that our residents use our dining experience as a time to share their stories and learn about one another with keen interest. There is a natural ebb and flow of conversation that ripples between past experience and shared experience. What is ever-present is genuine respect and appreciation for one another’s cultural uniqueness.
For many, moving to Silver Comet Village represents a “coming home” of sorts. Whether an individual grew up in the area or they lived only a part of their lives here, they choose to return to Powder Springs, Georgia, for its unique offerings, but also for that comfort of “home.”
